How it started

Nobody understands the needs and dreams of authors better than another author. And Cate Montana started NEXXUS to meet her own marketing and PR requirements.

A professional journalist specializing in the fields of psychology, consciousness, and alternative medicine and health, over the years Cate has written and successfully promoted many of her own extremely different books.

From a narrative non-fiction explanation of consciousness and the state of “enlightenment” with Simon & Schuster (The E Word, Ego Enlightenment & Other Essentials) to a feminist memoir with Watkins Publishing (Unearthing Venus: My Search for the Woman Within) to a spiritual novel with Rampant Feline Media (Apollo & Me), Cate has worked and written within many literary genres. She also worked for 16 years in network television as a director and production editor and has helped develop a wide variety of documentary films. She also has marketed documentaries (and their companion books), including the wildly successful spiritual documentary What the Bleep Do We Know!?

In other words, Cate and NEXXUS provide a “soup to nuts” communications service that includes book development, organizational and developmental editing, content editing, marketing, PR, and the development of adjunct products such as documentaries, reality TV shows and more.
